The Perfect Drift Sport fishing Team was at it again this
weekend with the Barnegat Bay Fluke! New comer's William
Evans, and his two sons Will & Ryan were aboard for a full
day of fishing. We fished Double Creek and picked up several
Fluke just short of 18 inches. It was a tough and slow drift
for much of the morning, so we made a move just outside of
the inlet and picked up a nice 24 inch "door mat" Fluke just
shy of the Bell Buoy!
Saturday we mad chew around 3 p.m. We landed about 15 Fluke
with one keeper. Friday July 9th, the crew headed out for an
evening Fluke trip in the bay. We found
aggressive Fluke in Double Creek. Standard Fluke rigs with
Gulp and live Keelies worked well. Plenty of action
landing a dozen shorts, and two keepers ( 21 and 18 inches)
in just under two hours. The fishing
should remain hot, as long as the water temp stays on the
warmer side.Book your trip today, to get in on the action! |

Barnegat Fluke Fishing Charters
Fluke Fishing from the back bays of Barnegat to the artificial
reefs and lumps of the ocean out of Barnegat Inlet.
The Fluke will start moving into The Barnegat Bay early in the
spring. Fluke will generally gather in the bay beaches, and pass on
into the back bays and rivers early in the season, in pursuit of the
warmer waters. As the season progresses we will find them in deeper
waters. Fluke fishing has been one of the most sought after species
of fish along the Jersey shore for many generations.
Sea Bass Charters From Barnegat
Sea Bass can be found on the local Offshore Barnegat Wrecks,
Reefs, and Bottom Structure.
Sea Bass start moving inshore in the early spring and can be found
on the wrecks and reefs there the summer. In the fall things really
heat up as the get ready to head offshore for the winter. Sea Bass
will bite just about anything you send down; pulling up double
headers is not uncommon. These are a favorite eating fish hands
down. Sea Bass fishing is one of the best nonstop action fishing for
all age groups.
Barnegat Bluefish Charters
Bluefish can be found just about anywhere in our waters of
Barnegat.
The bluefish start showing up in the Barnegat Bay and inlet around
end of April, Bluefish can be found up and down the beaches. In the
summer they are just about every were you can find bait. The larger
fish (slammer blues) will usually be found offshore on the Barnegat
Ridges and lumps. Pound for pound these they are the hardest
fighting fish for reel screaming, rod bending, and action. Bluefish
can be chummed, jigged, or trolled.
Striped Bass Charters From Barnegat
Striped Bass are most sought after game fish up and down the
Jersey coast.
Striped Bass usually start showing up in the spring. You will find
Stripers following the bunker schools along the beaches in the early
summer. This is where you will have the best opportunity for a
trophy Bass. This time of the year is when we snag live bunker and
live line them. Trolling with Bunker Spoons can also get you a
trophy bass. The fall run is the best time for trolling those
umbrella rigs, shad rigs, or drifting some live spots and eels. |
