The Perfect
Drift Sport
fishing Team
was at it
again this
weekend with
the Barnegat
Bay Fluke!
New comer's
William
Evans, and
his two sons
Will & Ryan
were aboard
for a full
day of
fishing. We
fished
Double Creek
and picked
up several
Fluke just
short of 18
inches. It
was a tough
and slow
drift for
much of the
morning, so
we made a
move just
outside of
the inlet
and picked
up a nice 24
inch "door
mat" Fluke
just shy of
the Bell
Buoy!
Saturday we
mad chew
around 3
p.m. We
landed about
15 Fluke
with one
keeper.
Friday July
9th, the
crew headed
out for an
evening
Fluke trip
in the bay.
We found
aggressive
Fluke in
Double
Creek.
Standard
Fluke rigs
with
Gulp
and live
Keelies
worked well.
Plenty of
action
landing a
dozen
shorts, and
two keepers
( 21 and 18
inches) in
just under
two hours.
The
fishing
should
remain hot,
as long as
the water
temp stays
on the
warmer
side.Book
your trip
today, to
get in on
the action!

What a
winter
with all
the cold
temps
and
record
snow
falls,
We will
be
getting
the boat
ready
for the
2010
fishing
season.
Striped
Bass,
Bluefish
and Tide
Runner
Weakfish
will
start
showing
up in
the bay
by late
April
and we
will be
kicking
off our
2010
fishing
season
the end
of April
beginning
of May.
I had
opportunity
to enjoy
a
Florida
Keys
Vacation
this
week
with my
son who
was on
spring
break.
The
weather
has been
beautiful
and
temps in
the mid
to upper
70's.
The
fishing
down
there
has been
a really
good
experience
with all
the
variety
of
species
of fish
to
catch.

Just
returned
from
another
Florida
Keys

trip and
the
yellow
tail
fishing
was on
fire.
You
realy
had to

fast or
the
sharks
would
get
them.
The

Last
keeper Fluke
of the 2009
season
boated on
Perfect
Drift Sport
Fishing.
We got out
Friday after
noon after
the seas
layed down
lots of
shorts and
sea robins
were hooked
we boated 4
keepers.
Needed 8 &
10 oz
sinkers to
hold bottom
in 45ft of
water off
the coast
guard
station. The
bay is
loaded with
Weak fish
and Blues.
There is
also good
blow fishing
along with
some nice
size King
fish and we
will be
fishing for
them until
the Strip
Bass fishing
starts. Sea
bass Trigger
fish can be
caught on
the wrecks.
So just
because the
Fluke season
closed the
fall fishing
is in full
swing. |

 Twelve
keeper
fluke
and
plenty
of
throwbacks
were
ploughed
today in
the
ocean
north of
Barnegat
Inlet.
The trip
fished
all over
the
area,
making
long
drifts
in 38 to
45 feet,
picking
fish all
day.
Seas
were a
little
choppy
in the
morning
but
calmed
later,
but the
drift
was
fast,
and 6
ounces
was
needed
to hold
bottom.
One
bluefish
was
landed,
and a
3-foot
brown
shark
was
hooked
and
reeled
halfway
to the
boat
before
it bit
through
the
line. A
couple
of
porpoises
swam
around.
Lots of
good-sized
weakfish
swam
Barnegat
Bay, and
anglers
on the
boat
caught
them
Wednesday,
and many
fluke
hugged
the
bay’s
bottom,
but they
were
mostly
small.
We will
be
making
are last
trip of
the
season
on
Friday.
